Synthetic Calcium Hydroxyapatite: Radiesse®

picture

Why?

Synthetic calcium hydroxyapatite is a filling product which enables the volume of certain areas to be lastingly and profoundly increased.

Areas, Indications and Contraindications

Radiesse® injections are recommended for regaining the volume of certain areas. The injection is made by the doctor into the deep layer of the dermis.

It is therefore advisable to avoid saunas or hammams during the first fortnight after the injection. Taking medication containing Aspirin is prohibited for ten days before the intervention. Injections into different areas must have intervals of three to four months between them.

Objectives

As the injection of Radiesse® is very deep, it is not indicated for superficial wrinkles but rather for regaining the volume of certain areas.

Session Procedure

The doctor injects the product into the deep layer of the dermis. The area concerned can be prone to redness, swellings and a feeling of local heat. These effects disappear within 48 hours of the intervention.

Number of Sessions and Effects

The desired volume and a pulpier skin can be seen about three to four weeks after the injection. A new injection is usually recommended every 18 to 24 months.
